The food everyone loves to eat at home.
While impossible to to keep everyone happy, when you put together a menu, think of the foods that people generally do like to eat at home or when they go out.
Rice dishes, pasta dishes, or simple grilled meats are foods enjoyed the world over by many cultures and dishes like paella (of course) ticks this box . But also keep away from the foods which many people don’t like or can’t eat- seafood and shellfish, chilli or even items like excessive dairy or possible high allergy foods like peanuts and mushrooms

Generous and flavoursome food
There is nothing worse than leaving a party where there was not enough to eat, or it was all 'nice and fancy', but not satisfying. By serving food that is naturally generous and full of flavour, your guests will feel more satisfied. Full flavoured food, with plenty of herbs, spice and intersting ingredients will leave an impression of warmth and welcoming for your guests.
Easy to eat food
When catering for a crowd, think of foods that are easy to eat.
For a stand up functions, guests may not be able to cut their food, make sure food is cut is in bite size pieces. Avoid greasy, crumbly or powdery food that can get on fingers and drip onto clothes. And keep away from serving food with bones, sticks and shells that can be difficult to open or eat.
For seated functions, share platters work great, but make sure you have plenty of space on the tables for the platter, don’t let the platters get to heavy or full , and keep an eye on sauces and dressings which can spill when the platter is passed around.
